We have some seriously incredible new work in the shop in the form of metallic alligator cuffs! I'm so in love with these pieces. Mostly because I adore metallics, and I love the luxe factor that comes with alligator, so when you combine those two it's just an awesome overload! They are stunning and gorgeous and so refined and elegant and edgy and glam thats it's just mindblowing. But the awful part is that photos don't even come close to doing these babies justice. (I really need to figure out a way to take and upload high quality video I think...)
This particular piece is unlike any other we've ever offered. It's not just one color metallic, but really more like four! There are light silver, dark silver, gold, and even some bronze tones and they all shimmer and shine and take my breath away. I really wish we ended up with more of this!!! But sadly, it's going to be a super limited edition...
Pretty snazzy, eh? I'm in love with it!
And we also have a dark metallic pewter piece which is incredible. I am so in love with grey right now, it's perfectly austere, and such a contemporary calming color that I think is so under appreciated and under used! And on top of that, it's so hard to find the perfect grey! It's always either too light or is too warm toned, but this, THIS is the perfect grey. A nice, rich, dark, intense grey! But sadly, also a limited edition and already almost sold out!
If you guys love these as much as we do here in the studio, you can grab them now over at our Etsy.com shop!
So apparently it's summer already. Kids are out of school, the sun doesn't set until well into the evening, and you can't throw a rock without hitting some shop selling rubber flip flops in garish colors. I think LA missed the memo though 'cause it's been June Gloom central here for days and days now and apparently it's supposed to rain tomorrow?
I'm not gonna fight it though. I don't particularly look forward to temperatures above 74 degrees give or take, so it's all good in my book! Slathering on SPF 90 is a chore anyway. (You think I'm kidding with that one, don't you?! Oh no!! I literally use SPF 90 folks. Yup, the SPF 85 I was so giddily thrilled to find last year now seems unbelievably insufficient compared to 90!!!!! 90!!!!) Anyway, where was I? oh yes, Summer. So on the upside, I have plenty of uninterrupted days in which to produce mind blowing work and ample time to post it all here, which while I'm on the subject I should probably do!
Just finished and listed these new alligator pieces! And let me tell you, they are so awesome. I mean, SO awesome! And might I add not even the slightest bit out of season! I know it's June but look, everyone is clearance-ing out their Summer gear to make way for Fall purchasing in the real life fashion world, so I think my intense gloomy pieces are totally on par!
Mmmmmm, dark metallic grey and crimson red. So intense and deep and dark and Fall-esque! And actually in the shop already! Amazing right!?!
But for those of you still vibing this summer thing, there's some happy, lively, Summery stuff too:
See? Happy! Bright! Cheerful! I actually really dig this, it's the perfect ferny, leaf green color which I've always been drawn to for some unexplainable reason!
But seriously, if it wasn't for the flowers blooming like crazy in my yard - which is suhhhweeet!!!!! - I would swear it's October. ( See all those little white specs? Those are roses! I totally grew those!!)
But look, wind blowing, freezing my butt off outside at night, dark cloudy morning skies. It's just so Not Summer! Maybe the weather gods have finally heard my pleas and hot weather will be saved exclusively for Florida? Maybe? Makes me totally wonder what this winter will be like though... If it's 95 freakin degrees in November I'm gonna be pissed. Mostly because I know for a fact I won't be able to easily find SPF 90 during the holiday shopping season.
Check back often for new work and one of a kind pieces! We'll show it off here before it's added to the shop.
