It was supposed to rain today. Yesterday was gloomy as hell, it was dark, cold, windy, I totally believed the weatherman when he said we would be soaked today. But no! I woke up to sun shining and I swear there were no more than 3 drops of rain that fell from the sky today. Clouds rolled in around 11am, and I was all set for a day of warm soup, cuddling with puppies in blankets, and super sweet baked goods if I could get my paws on any... But here I sit, in my warm house, not needing a blanket, soup sounding less appealing, and no baked goods in sight. How did this happen?! It's so wrong.
I wonder if I can will my mom to drive over with some chocolate cake like she did a while back...
Pics are kinda grainy, but you get the idea! She brought over home made chocolate cake and flowers from the garden. It was so awesome! It was almost as insanely good as the day G made a pilgrimage over to Porto's, the local UBER BAKERY! Check out the goods she hunted and gathered over there!
They have seriously, THE BEST carrot cake ever. It's not even funny. She brought back some cheesecakes, some fruit thingy, and a bunch of random goodness I would kill for right about now.
She started something evil with that little bakery experiment! Nothing sounds better on a disappointingly rain-less day than some sugary goodness. Why don't they deliver? Why don't I know anyone in town I can bribe to go over there and eat cheesecake and pastries with me in an attempt at redeeming this day through baked goods?
All I wanted was a good old fashioned rainy day and now I'm sitting here next to a sunny window craving sugar! I'm going to blame the local weatherman. He owes me cake.
